Deposition Aid: THINVERT Ready To Use

THINVERT RTU Deposition Aid is a ready-to-use formulation designed for use as a part of the THINVERT Application System. This system combines a unique spray nozzle and the spray carrier into a coordinated unit for aerial or ground applications to roadsides, rangeland, cropland, industrial sites, forests and landscape areas.

CAUTION
Keep Out of the Reach of Children
Observe Other Cautions Below

Harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid breathing spray mix or vapors. Wear eye protection when mixing to avoid getting mixture in eyes. Liquid may cause eye injury. In case of contact with skin or eyes, flush immediately with clean water and get medical attention for eyes. Protect from freezing. Observe all cautions on the labels of products mixed with this product.

Directions:

Install THINVERT® nozzle on the spraygun. Be sure that the check valve/filter is in place and all fittings are tightened securely.

Be sure no water remains in the wand, since this may cause a thick invert to form in the nozzle. To remove water from the wand, remove nozzle from the spray gun, and pump THINVERT RTU through the system to remove water.

Pour required amount of THINVERT RTU into the backpack sprayer. To check system, pump up sprayer to apply THINVERT at 40 to 60 psi. Operate nozzle. If nozzle drips when shut off, there may be air in the wand or gun. Loosen the nozzle core, hold nozzle and wand upright, and operate nozzle until air is expelled. The nozzle will also drip if the core is not properly seated against the nozzle body cone, if there is trash in the nozzle, or if the spray pressure is too low. Tighten the knurled portion of the nozzle securely with the fingers. A piece of fabric may be used to give a better grip on the knurled portion of the nozzle. DO NOT USE PLIERS OR WRENCHES TO ADJUST THE NOZZLE CORE. The nozzle can be cleaned by loosening it slightly and operating the sprayer.

Add the required amount of active ingredient to the THINVERT in the spray tank, bearing in mind that the THINVERT System will normally apply a spray volume of 3 to 5 gal/Acre. You may wish to try a herbicide concentration of five times that normally used for medium volume spraying of 15 to 25 gal/A, if the label permits this higher concentration. Put cover on the sprayer and shake contents to mix the active ingredients with the THINVERT carrier.

When using Accord, Garlon 3A, Garlon 4, Tordon K, or Arsenal, add the herbicide or herbicides to the THINVERT RTU and shake the mixture well.

When using dry flowable formulations such as Oust or Escort, mix the required amount of herbicide in a small amount of water or household ammonia and add to the THINVERT RTU. Shake mixture well.

Do not add additional surfactants to THINVERT RTU/herbicide mixtures.

Nozzle selection:

Various nozzles are available for THINVERT applications. THINVERT Spray nozzles are patented, specially designed nozzles which make small, uniform droplets. These droplets provide effective coverage of plant surfaces with economical, low spray volumes, and at the same time, minimize spray drift.

  • #71531 -- 2-3' swath for brush and tree control
  • #73019 -- 5-6' swath for broadcast applications
  • #15105 -- 1-2' swath for tall brush
  • Widecast nozzle -- 20' swath for power sprayers
  • Specialty nozzles for precision application (Call Waldrum Specialties for availability)

THINVERT can be applied with the RADIARC® Sprayer using special low volume nozzle patterns. (Contact Waldrum Specialties for details.)
